Policies

Hiring a technology consultant, training and repair person is a personal service.  Everything we do together remains confidential.

Our Policies and Procedures:

Bring your desktop and laptop computers to our office for repair during our drop-in hours, 8am-11am, Monday-Friday. PCMAC Technology Services takes no responsibility for data loss or further damage as a result of attempted repairs. You are responsible for data backup before repair. If data backup is requested at time of service, an additional $10 will be charged. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of service and support, but specific results cannot be guaranteed. Please be advised that we give you an estimate before any repair is started. If additional work is needed, we will call you to consult with you about additional charges.

 

For training sessions, we schedule in advance with a two-hour minimum block of time for house calls further than 7 miles from Ramsey. If you need to cancel for any reason we ask for a 48-hour notice. There is a cancellation fee of $50.

 

While we are working together for a training lesson, we encourage you not to take phone calls or work on other tasks unless it’s an emergency. We will set goals for our training time together.

 

During the last 15 minutes of our training session we do the wrap up which means we review what we have accomplished, discuss any future work that needs to be completed and review the take-home notes for practice to occur outside of your lesson. You can start a PCMAC journal and put all your questions inside and call or email Betsy or wait until our next lesson.

 

We charge by the hour and submit an invoice after each session to be paid at the end of our time together by cash, check or credit card. You may purchase packages in advance for multiple hours for extra savings.
